The currency they use is called Value because its value is based on what type,amount and its weight. That is right I am talking about Platinum,Gold and Silver Rubies,Diamonds,Emeralds and many other precious stones and minerals. They also utilize the barter system a contract would first be drawn up if the individual or entities care to participate. The energy that they use is very very low costing. However the privately held energy companies do make a substantial amount of money by building the terminals that harness the various natural energy sources.

As for food being that climate is just right to grow year round. And farmland in abundance the agrarian business grew and grew.
